Here’s some recent pictures from Mr. Witles. I am sensing a theme here.
From Ed Witles ever-growing collection!
Fish mailboxes on Pine Island – Matlacha, FL, submitted by Barbara S.
I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. Personally, I’m hoping that 2010 resets the law for 3’s for me. You know the saying, it happens in “threes”? I tore the my left acl in a skiing accident in November, and in December I got my car stuck in a freak flash flood. I made it home alright, after walking about a mile in waste deep water in the pitch dark (they don’t believe in street lights in our town for some reason) but my car is still in the shop having it’s engine and carpets replaced. Anyway that was my two, but I think at midnight on 2010 it reset… at least that’s what I’m praying for anyway.
So that was just a big long excuse for me not updating the blog in forever.
Here’s the holiday mailbox from Mr. Witles this year along with one of his tractors I missed earlier.
I just love There I Fixed It and I never thought to look for mailboxes on it.
So thanks to Costas Schuler of Art Car Central: http://www.artcar.blogspot.com, The Pen Guy:http://www.pen-guy.blogspot.com and Envisionary Design: http://envisionary-design.blogspot.com/ for pointing out some of the funny mailboxes there.
This was my favorite:
A fun mailbox from Mr. Witles’. I have no idea where the mail goes! I’m sure the mail delivery person is used to the unusual and will find it.
Also for you Spongebob fans, some yard art:
