This is not a laughing matter, us neighbors have to look at this eyesore everyday on top of the constant barking from the dog they leave tied up in the backyard.

We are also nearby neighbors of the deer attraction. We really love how if you look closely you can see the post from the original mailbox that they never bother to remove and then the redd bark mulch they threw over top of the white landscaping rocks. When we moved in we were oh so hopeful…..oh well…..sorry to Russ & kimber who have to look at it every day!! Happy Hunting!!

Although we may go against the grain … we think that it is a true passion for what someone enjoys in life (no matter where they live!) And to judge the vehicals they have is just in poor taste.

I too live in this neighborhood and think all you Jones’ need to find something better to do with your time than to bad mouth others for their creativity. We all have a little redneck in us no matter where you live or how much money you have. R&K, don’t throw stones……..

I was gonna say that you’re not … but then I remembered that I’ve been hunting 2x. Once for deer and once for rabbits. When I was deer hunting all I saw was rabbits and when I was rabbit hunting all I saw was deer.
I said f*ck it they know their seasons and never went hunting again.
I did get married on opening day of gun season though and that pissed alot of people off!

That mailbox is SO REDNECK. i understand that we don’t live in a gated community however who is going to want to buy a house in our development when they have that shit in their yard. everyone bitches about campers and boats but everyone thinks it’s okay to have a mailbox like that and have shit all over their yard. Plus it’s okay for an board member (when she was on the board and you know who you are) to tell people they have to water their lawn b/c it is getting to brown but this shit is okay.

Angela, if I ever turn into such a nasty, bitter, b**** like you, someone better just shoot me. Why would you talk about someone who is not even on the Board anymore, and has no control over what is happening here? I don’t like the mailbox, but what am I supposed to do about it but make a complaint like everyone else? IF I was still on the board, this WOULD have been taken care of. And anyways, you didn’t do SHIT when you were VP. Get over yourself, and get a life.

Everyone in the neighborhood knows that Angela is the crazy, white-trash, ignorant, slob of Branch Ct. Not to mention Angela and Russ & Kimber have quite possibly the worst typing/grammar skills I have ever seen. It makes you look, well, un-educated and completely ignorant. Sort of like the bleach-blond straw you call hair and trashy tattoos on your overly tan body. I agree with you on the mailbox. It’s tacky and ridiculous, but you all made it personal. You wanted a war, you got one baby!!

I can’t believe that this is getting so out of hand. Doesn’t anyone have anything else to worry about? Possibly the economy? The soliders getting killed everyday in IRAQ? The 3 million people that are having their house foreclosed on? There is a BIG difference between redneck and white trash…any one that has any brains should know that. Beside all that I thought this was about a mail box, when did barking dogs and how somebody wants to landscape come into this? We live in Santree as well and I have no problem with the mail box, who gives a shit? People worry about others not wanting to buy a house in this neighborhood? What about all the snotty, self centered people that live here? I would take the mailbox over all of them anyday!

I think everyone has lost sight on what this website is suppose to be about. It was for fun and a good laugh. I don’t understand whoever was “you know who I am” and “now what” have to do personal attacks towards Angela and Russ/Kimber. They did not say anything about anyone and next thing you see they are getting attacked. Yes Angela can be loud but she tells you the way it is, no candy coating it. Maybe you guys can’t handle that and don’t be hating b/c Russ/Kimber work hard for what they have. Sounds like there is some jealously and this has gotten out of hand. Very childish! Just some advice for whoever was “now what” maybe you shouldn’t make threats like that. Could get you into trouble.

I think this should end.
The photo was supposed to be about a funny mailbox.
The mailbox itself and the careless way it was put up and not maintained or the area around it cleaned up…welll…speaks for itself.
It speaks volumes about the people who live there.
That is THAT.
Let’s quit talking about the war (for God’s sake!!), self-centered people, tattoo’s, hair color, board members, foreclosures, gated communities, poor grammar and every other ridiculous thing!!
The mailbox does not do anything to make any of our homes look nicer, that is for sure.
Neither do a lot of other things in this neighborhood.
Neither do a lot of others things in a lot of other neighborhoods….not just ours.
There are also a lot of GREAT people in this neighborhood.
I think that each and every one of us cares about the safety of our children and about our neighbors and their well-being when it all comes down to it.
I hope we do.
Otherwise, why would you live in a private neighborhood with an association and rules?
When we CHOSE to move in to this neighborhood….just like all you did….we read the rule book, we saw the speed bumps, we saw the posted speed limit, we saw how people did or did not care for their lawns, we knew it was located in CEDAR SPRINGS and not EGR and we still made a MAJOR investment in the purchase of a home inside this neighborhood.
We hate the mailbox.
I think if everyone had their choice, it would not be there. Does anyone drive by that house and say, my that looks nice? It is an eye sore.
BOTTOM LINE……
The picture was meant to be funny!!
The original posting said nothing nasty and the title was simply “OH DEER!!”
The people who posted it meant to get a good chuckel out of it….not to start a war.

If you don’t gossip or associate with someone in the neighborhood that gossips…well…then you would not know about this website, would you?
We live in a very close-knit neighborhood. Too close sometimes….but…you moved in.
You made that choice.
I just don’t understand why someone would move into a neighborhood with rules and an association and private roads if they didn’t want to take care of their home.
Nobody else cares about this neighborhood except the 70+ homes and the families inside it.
People outside of our neighborhood would care less if we each had 8 cars in the yard, a motor home, brown grass and giraffe mailboxes.
We are the only ones that are affected when someone is negligent and don’t take pride in the neighborhood they are part owner of.
If we all don’t take care of our homes and yards, who suffers?
All of us when it is time to try and sell one of our homes….thats who. Nobody else besides the people inside this neighborhood care whether or not we take care of this place. That is why I just can’t quite understand when I see people who do nothing to their home and yard. I think that is what I think is the WORST about this mailbox.
They could have removed the white stones before they threw red mulch into it and over the rocks, they could have planted bushes around it to “disguise it” a little (afterall….deer like to hide, dont they?), they could have planted flowers (deer like flowers, dont’ they?), they could have removed the original mailbox stump from next to it, they could have made it more tasteful than they did. I totally agree. Put some long decorative grass around it….something.
But again….we all gossip and we all talk and it would be dumb to act like we don’t.
And God…..of course there are bigger things to talk about in the world than this mailbox…..but we are HUMAN!!!We can’t spend our lives focusing on the seriousness of everything!!!!!
I think we should call a truce in Santree.
That sounds ridiculous, but I don’t know how else to word it. There are some very nice people who live here. We are glad to know so many of them.

Oh deer, I think that’s a creative mailbox, and Its not awkward since Deer are close to their heart. But without the deer’s head drawn on the white mailbox, it looks like a a man in squat position with hands hanging on the fence waiting or watching someone…lolz

I think it is adorable….I actually live in NH and was looking for a creative mailbox for my mom as a x-mas gift. The funny thing is that she lives in Michigan!!

I think the mailbox is great. It really is more creative than some of the others too. The combination of the wood for the body and then the painted head is really nice.

I Like the mailbox. I actually saved a picture of it to my computer so I can show my husband. I would love to have one. I think life is too damn short for all of you folks to be worrying about a damn mail box! I say if you don’t like it don’t friggin look at it!!!!!——Grow Up!——-Mims,Florida
