1Buck Says he Voted for GW

Kathy from the Junk Drawer follows up her floral “beauty”:
This one was found in Bethlehem Township, PA. This house was a total dump. They had all manner of garbage in the front yard, arranged in a way I think they thought was “artsy.” There was also a deer head mounted on the front porch (sending that picture as well). I hurried to take these pictures, since I wasn’t sure when or whether the owner would come outside with a rifle and shoo (or shoot) me away.
What I do for Ugly Mailbox.com.
I do appreciate your efforts for my blogging pleasure! This is a great find.
Here comes the bride!

Kathy from the The Junk Drawer describes this one perfectly:
This mailbox was found in Easton, Pennsylvania. The flowers are, of course, artificial. It reminds me of what happens to a bride-to-be at her shower, where her guests make her wear all the gift bows attached to a paper plate on her head.
Mailboxes from West Sacramento
Ugly Mailbox June 12th, 2008
Barbara S. from My West Sacramento Photo of the Day sent in a picture featured on her blog last week.

These rows of mailboxes are fairly common in rural areas but what struck me about this picture is second redheaded stepchild of a mailbox. Not only is it completely rust covered, but it seems to have a “Hello My Name Is” sticker on it rather than vinyl numbers. It’s as if whoever owns it has said f’ keeping up with the Joneses.
Ribbed for your pleasure…

This concrete disaster resides a few neighborhoods over from me. I guess L and E are their initials? I’ve heard of monogrammed towels and shirts, but mailboxes?
Speaking of disasters, I get Google Alerts for all things mailboxes, you know I wouldn’t want to miss out on anything… I’ve noticed a trend. There are only two types of mailboxes in the news, (with the exception of that one that got hit by a meteorite), the exploding ones and the ones that get hit by cars and win. Today’s mailbox would definitely fall into that category. Sadly, attempts to fortify mailboxes against vandals and bad drivers are resulting in death and injury. Something to think about before you brick up your mailbox, especially if you live on a busy road.
Nesting Mailbox

Another ugly mailbox from Kathy Frederick of the The Junk Drawer.
Kathy wrote:
I’m not sure if this is as much ugly as it is lazy? Obviously, their regular mailbox is broken and they still want their mail protected behind a door. Why not throw another one in there? Maybe it’s ingenious…
I’m not sure ingenious is the word I’d use for it. It does remind me of the Russian nesting dolls though.
