Happy 2010

Unusual Mailbox January 4th, 2010

I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Personally, I’m hoping that 2010 resets the law for 3’s for me.  You know the saying, it happens in “threes”?  I tore the my left acl in a skiing accident in November, and in December I got my car stuck in a freak flash flood.  I made it home alright, after walking about a mile in waste deep water in the pitch dark (they don’t believe in street lights in our town for some reason) but my car is still in the shop having it’s engine and carpets replaced.  Anyway that was my two, but I think at midnight on 2010 it reset… at least that’s what I’m praying for anyway.

So that was just a big long excuse for me not updating the blog in forever.

Here’s the holiday mailbox from Mr. Witles this year along with one of his tractors I missed earlier.

Tiki Mailbox

Unusual Mailbox August 7th, 2009

I found this little gem on our recent visit to Marco Island, Florida.  I guess it’s more of a totem pole then a tiki?

Fireman's Mailbox

Rex W. sent in this picture of what I would assume is a fireman’s mailbox. I’ve seen fire trucks before but nothing as unique as this.

A chicken surrounded by a yard full of bunnies. I wonder what that conversation might be like?

Junk Robot Mailbox

Unusual Mailbox March 16th, 2009

From Don and Amber V. in PA

Our neighbor busted our mailbox apart with his stupid hay wagon, so I spent a little time with the welder, now we have a new friend. Here’s pictures of our junk robot mailbox!
