It’s a pretty half-arsed job, isn’t it? I mean it’s not colourful, or particularly nautical. It’s as if they just didn’t know what to do with the rope that was lying around in the garage and thought, “Hey! I know what we can do. Let’s attach the mailbox to this old anchor and just wind the rope around the base of the mailbox and give it a seafaring theme. That could work.” Um…not really.
I’m thinking ex-seaman with a whole lot of time on his hands.
Thanks for the link-love, only now you’ve got me on twice. You don’t have to do that. (Ha ha!) You can link to my exclusively poetry blog, Poetikat’s Parlour of Poetry at http://www.poetikat.wordpress.com

It would have been cool if they ahd decorated the whole thing in rope.

Forest – not sure if you’ve ever been on a smaller boat, but more rope would have covered the anchor part, not that it would have been a bad thing
Roger, thanks!
