The Boat House
Marine Mailbox July 27th, 2009
I love the little boat! Mr. Witles really goes all out on these mailboxes and the details are what make them great.

Mr. Witles is an amazing person! Easy to see he puts so much care and love in his artwork. I am also happy to see that he knows the neighbors and others are coming round to see his newest creation and, therefore, he always has a positive and happy one. I hope to never see anything as awful as a gun mailbox, a previous listing on your site, in his yard. Thanks for your hard work Mr. Witles…can’t wait to see the holiday ones this year!

Wow this is amazing art work. I have never seen anything like this before. I have the utmost respect for people who can turn the simplest of things in great works of art. It takes a truly creative eye to turn a mailbox into something beautiful, but I think you have succeeded.

This kind of mailbox you don’t see everyday:) Mr. Witles is a great artist and I really think this work is one of his best.

This is a nice mailbox! Such detail! And it would be so cool to be able to say, “here’s my address; of course if you can’t find my house I also have the address on the side of my houseboat?”

This stuff is great. I love some of these mailboxes. I do have one question though – are these people not scared of teens targeting their hard work?
I hope it never happens, but I wonder.

I’m sure his postal worker is used to it by now

I haven’t heard of anyone vandalizing his mailboxes. There’s some good examples of ones built specifically to avoid that in my blog if you keep looking.

Many mailboxes here have obviously been painstakingly created and Mr. Witles is no exception.
Since I see a windmill in the background, just wondering what other artwork items exists in his yard.
Very nice!

If I were a mailman I would probably not even take it for a mailbox.

Wow! I have seen some creative mailboxes, but this is by far the most well-crafted one I’ve ever seen. If I got one of these, I’d be afraid that the mailman wouldn’t recognize it for what it was. Kudos to Mr. Witles for such amazing work.

Oh dear me! If I put this out it would be inhabited by birds and squirrels instantly. In fact, I fancy this as a full-size house. I still have some space in my back garden
such a lovely and cute design!!!

Nice. A real piece of art. Is that a real windmill on the background?

Wow what a mailbox…great creativity…It looks like more of a showpiece than a mail box. I wish I had one of them in my house.
