Debbie from My West Sacramento - Photo of the Day posted this little moo moo today. If you’re from Northern California or just interested in the Sacramento area you’ll want to bookmark this blog which is dedicated to preserving the history of the city.
From the same person who brought us the White House Mailbox and the Taj Mahal.
Here’s Ed Witles latest creation, the Annapolis State House:

Here’s the original for reference:

Truly amazing.
This concrete disaster resides a few neighborhoods over from me. I guess L and E are their initials? I’ve heard of monogrammed towels and shirts, but mailboxes?
Speaking of disasters, I get Google Alerts for all things mailboxes, you know I wouldn’t want to miss out on anything… I’ve noticed a trend. There are only two types of mailboxes in the news, (with the exception of that one that got hit by a meteorite), the exploding ones and the ones that get hit by cars and win. Today’s mailbox would definitely fall into that category. Sadly, attempts to fortify mailboxes against vandals and bad drivers are resulting in death and injury. Something to think about before you brick up your mailbox, especially if you live on a busy road.
Another ugly mailbox from Kathy Frederick of the The Junk Drawer.

I’m not sure if this is as much ugly as it is lazy? Obviously, their regular mailbox is broken and they still want their mail protected behind a door. Why not throw another one in there? Maybe it’s ingenious…
I’m not sure ingenious is the word I’d use for it. It does remind me of the Russian nesting dolls though.
While on vacation in Vermont Forest from The Random Forest captured this country mail box for us.
Hey,
After all my visits to Vermont and me avidly looking for at least ONE crazy mailbox. I finally found that ONE!
Anyway hope you like it. Looks like if you move home or go on holiday it will come with you!
Thanks,
Forest.
