I have been meaning to send you a pic of this mailbox since I first saw your blog. This is from the house behind mine. The guy built the thing–its a mix of stone…and then he started adding black marble over some cement…and just stopped. NO IDEA. And inside the glass? A BLUE LIGHTBULB! At night you drive by the house and it is blue!

It looks…unfinished! I like the stone, but it really looks like he stopped halfway through the project.

it’s been like that for at least 6 mo’s tho–which is why i contend it is finished.

You never know… some people can stretch a project out over a long period of time- I’m speaking from personal experience! Although 6 months for a mailbox is a bit excessive…. You can’t force art!
Either way, it definitely IS ugly right now!

is that meant to be some form of art or something, as its a disarster lol. I mean if it is only half finished, you would complete it wouldnt you as its an eye sore on the house – oh god dread to think what the rest of the house looks like !!
