For Bob
Unusual Mailbox August 14th, 2007
I’m sharing this picture from Walk Sydney Streets Photos in honor of my cat Bob. There’s many great pictures of unique mailboxes in Sydney.

My parents bought him for me when I was seventeen years old. He moved with me five times. He was around when I graduated high school and college, when I got married and when I had my son. He’s sat on the lap of every dear friend and relative that’s visited. He passed away yesterday morning and he’ll be missed dearly.

My condolences. I lost my cat, JD, of 13 years at the end of June this year. He was a best friend. Putting him down was the hardest thing I have ever done. The thing with most pets is they are unconditional - they are always there for you and in my case JD always made me feel solid. No matter what happened he was there for me and reminded me of who I wanted to be. He was a great cat and I miss him dearly.

Thanks matrix and I’m sorry to hear about JD

I’m so sorry, Linda. I just lost one of my kitties to diabetes last week. It sucked.
The bright side is there’s a whole new opportunity to adopt some kittens now!

So sorry to hear about your dear friend Bob. You must be heartbroken.
I dread the day when it comes for my cat, Tiger. She’s been around for almost nineteen years and sleeps with me every night and hangs out with me when I’m at the computer, watching the idiot box (she loves Law and Order, go figure) and hangs around in the woodworking shop, collecting sawdust.
Hang in there.

Jason, I remember your recent post and your picture of your kitty. I’m sorry to hear that
Gregor, 19! Wow, how blessed.
My son has been asking for a kitten for a while and he’s got a birthday coming soon. I’m just not sure how my calico will feel about a youngin in the house, hehe.
