Jon P from The Confluence submitted this crazy mailbox. It belongs to someone in upstate New York. I even have the Google Map link to the exact address from Jon, so if I’m ever in the area I can check it out myself.

I wonder what the reasoning behind such a mailbox would be? Are they zoo keepers?

I don’t think I’m sticking my neck out too far when I say that’s one seriously bizarre mailbox!

According to local newspaper accounts, the wife loves giraffes, so her husband surprised her with this unusual gift. And what a surprise it must have been to come home and find this!

I absolutely love this mailbox my husband was wonderful enough to make it for me as a gift for mother’s day. I am blessed with a loving husband who would do anything to make me smile. MANY people have stopped and commented on what a wonderful job he did with it. I don’t feel it fits under ugly mailboxes, it is a loving gesture from a loving husband, that I am lucky enough to have found.

pookie, it’s always great to hear from owners of mailboxes I post, and the stories behind them.

sometimes I regret naming this blog Ugly Mailboxes, but anyone that’s been following along know that while I do post ugly ones, it’s mostly just strange and unusual mailboxes.

your mailbox is definitely different and well-crafted :)
